īUT! I'm not sure those drivers (there are 3 listed) will work on a 64bit system and/or Win7 as support for the 6L stopped at Windows Vista and it appears that there are none of HP's "Universal" drivers support the 6L.

Windows should then present you with a list of Microsoft-based HP printer drivers and you may need to scroll through a list.
Once you've removed/deleted the 6L instances and rebooted, plug in the printer-to-pc connector (USB?) and turn on the printer-I'm pretty sure that Windows won't look for drivers until you turn the printer on but it might start when you plug in the printer-to-pc connector. HP's nonexistent Win7/64 bit drivers for my HP2200D laser printer are the reason that I finally decided to look for a new laser printer and bought a Brother 5470DW laser printer with which I'm very happy.
